Sometimes our regular venue is needed for other uses at which times we use an alternative venue – Sneinton Hermitage Community Centre.

Hi
Are the classes still on? I can see it says until December but hoping to come along and start soon!
Hi Roxanne. Yes we are still running classes though we’ve had a topsy turvy run of venue changes and we are taking a break this weekend 3-5 March 2017 to enable everyone to participate in NottingJam – see home page for more details. However, we’ll be back at our regular venue, St Christopher’s Church Hall, Trent Road, Sneinton on Sunday 12 March 2017. Hope to see you soon. Lisa 🙂

Dear NLH is it ok if me & my dance partner drop in to your class next Sun – beginners & intermediate? We’ve done some Lindy years of R&R & quite a bit of Swing. Regards Linzi
Hi Linzi
You’d be very welcome, please join us any time 🙂 Do note though that there won’t be any classes on the bank holiday weekend.
Best wishes
Lisa

Hi,
I’d like to try your dance classes, both on Sunday and Monday. In the last year I’ve had classes of lindy hop (swing and charleston) in Italy, but I’m not sure what level is right for me.
Could I try all the classes on sunday and, then, come back on Monday?
The price of 5£ is just for one class?
Thank you for all the information.
Benedetta
Hi we’re thinking of coming to the fundamental class. Just checking it is running and if we need to know anything before attending. Thanks Gemma
Hello. Classes are run on a drop in basis and the 5.30 class is perfect for beginners. Just wear your comfy, ordinary street clothing, flat shoes that aren’t too grippy and come prepared to have a go and you’ll be fine :-). In reply to your comment though, we have classes on 1 and 8 Feb but will be taking a break for 1 week on 15 Feb as we’ll all be taking part in NottingJam, a weekend event of workshops and socials at Nottingham University. But then we’re back on 22 Feb. In general we run pretty much every weekend except bank holiday weekends. If we tske additional breaks I let everyone know on the frint page, diary page snd facebook. Lisa
Hi
Pls can you let me know if you need to bring a partner to your classes?
Thanks
Dawn
Hi Dawn. No partner needed. Lindy Hop is a social dance and so in classes all dancers rotate throughout so everyone learns how to dance with everyone else. Just to note that there are no classes on Sun 6th Oct but there is a tea dance from 6.30pm to which all are welcome. £5 on the door. Lisa x
