We’ve been mentioning this for weeks but now I’ve finally gotten around to creating the Facebook event so it must be official! 🙂
NLH @ Sneinton: Christmas Party and Fuddle
£4 on the door, doors open at 6pm and we’ll dance on till 10/10.30pm. Whether you’ve been coming to classes forever or only a couple of weeks, wherever you usually dance, all are welcome!
Please bring food for the Fuddle for us all to share. I’ll provide the teas and coffees as usual but you can also bring your own. The fuddle’s been getting better and better lately, wonder what we can rustle up this time 🙂
There’ll be an introductory fun class, jam circles, snowballs, shim sham and dancing to great DJ’d swing music – no doubt with the obligatory occasional Christmas Swing tune 🙂 to dance your socks off to.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you all there and celebrating the end of another great year of swing dance in Nottingham. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Sad news folks, unfortunately due to a number of reasons I’m having to cancel this Sunday’s Lindy Hop classes in Sneinton (Sun 22 Nov).
We’ll be back next weekend on Sunday 29 November and Monday Jazz classes are running as usual.

Good news folks!
After a moment of doubt last Sunday I can now confirm that all 3 classes (Fundamentals, More Rhythms and Intermediates) are ON this Sunday 8 November. Hurrah!!
The very lovely Rose & Chris will be putting you through your Lindy Hop paces from 5.30pm through till 9pm (see www.nottinghamlindyhop.com/classes for full schedule).
Please head down to The Old School Hall, Windmill Lane, Sneinton this Sunday and show your support and take the opportunity to keep your regular weekly learning on track supported by two fab teaching peeps 🙂

Today Sunday 11 October is to give us all the chance to head down to the Hockley Hustle (live music festival) in Nottingham city centre. There is live music all day and night in pretty much every bar in the Hockley area and in Das Kino (just opposite the lace market tram stop) all the bands are going to be playing swing, blues or jazz.

Next week (15-18 Oct 2015) it’s the European Swing Dance Championships also in London and as quite a few folks are heading down, including most of your teaching team, it seemed sensible to extend the break to 2 weeks.

Classes are back on this weekend – hurrah!
Emily and I will be putting you through your paces from 5.30 (well as near to as possible – you know us! 🙂 ) so I hope to see you then. We’ll be swapping the rhythms around in the classes so don’t worry if you think you’ve forgotten everything or are brand new, it’s a fresh start for all.
Please note – we have classes this week (16th Aug) and next (23 Aug) but then we’ll be off again for the bank holiday, returning on Sunday 6th September.

Hello everyone!
Today, Sunday 2 August, it’s finally Tea Dance and Fuddle time!
From 6pm till 10.30pm at our usual venue, The Old School Hall, Windmill Lane, Sneinton, Nottingham we’ll be celebrating 5 years (belatedly) of Nottingham Lindy Hop in Sneinton and also letting me continue my own Birthday celebrations in swinging style. If you haven’t been to the venue before just follow the signs to Green’s Windmill and Science Centre 🙂
Remember it’s FREE entry for everyone who brings a donation of food to the fuddle for all to share. Teas and coffees and squash will be provided as always but feel free to’ bring your own’.
Let’s see if we can make the fuddle the best ever!
Instead of the door charge I’ll also be running a voluntary collection to raise money for food bank charities so please give whatever you are able – but no pressure!
Alex, Paul, George, Mark and myself will be playing lots of fabulous swinging tunes to keep you dancing. We’ll have a fun icebreaker class early on and I’m sure there’ll be snowball dances, jam circles, shim shams and the like to keep us all entertained.

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Classes this Sunday (26 July) and Monday (27 July) are going ahead as usual. There’ll be Sunday Lindy Hop with Emily and Bob from 5.30pm and Monday Jazz Roots (solo) w Bob from 8pm all at the Old School Hall, Windmill Lane, Sneinton.
Then next week on Sunday 2 August it’s Tea Dance and Fuddle time (also at the Old School Hall) from 6pm till 10.30pm to celebrate 5 years (belatedly) of Nottingham Lindy Hop in Sneinton and also to celebrate my ‘Big’ Birthday. Free entry for everyone who brings a food donation to the fuddle for all to share and I’ll also be running a voluntary collection to raise a donation to food bank charities.
