Sneinton Festival is rounding up this weekend by holding a picnic party at Green’s Windmill on Sunday 14 July from 12pm. There’ll be stalls, food, acoustic sets from local musicians and the Salvation Army Band will be playing from 2.45 to 3.30pm.
We’ve been invited along to join in the fun and play a few of our tunes and do a spot of dancing before and after the Salvation Army do their thing (i.e. 2pm ish and 3.30ish)So all local dancers, we’d love to see you at Green’s Windmill (just behind our usual classes venue) in Sneinton at 2pm. We’ll play it by ear, and dance, whatever, whenever, wherever we can, but with the sun shining it should be a lovely afternoon regardless. We’ll dance some freestyle, maybe a shim sham… whatever we can in the time allowed.
Then, if you fancy sticking around, from 5pm (possibly sooner) until 9pm we’ll be able to go into our lovely Old School Hall (Windmill Lane, Sneinton, NG2 4QB have a cuppa, a chat and get our usual classes under way. Depending on who’s there, new dancers and/or familiar faces, I will stretch our usual format to fit, ensuring it’s fun for all who are there, regular attenders or new faces, fun classes, more social dancing time and maybe playing around with sharing some fun steals moves etc…
Anyway, really looking forward to seeing you lots of you out tomorrow afternoon regardless.
Oh and here’s our Frankie dance at the Windmill to get you all inspired…. http://frankiesbirthday.com/2013/05/30/frankie-99-from-nottingham-uk/
